I first thought as I deplaned in Hawaii for the first time 45 years ago was: "This is the place!". And indeed it was.
Hawaii was still fresh and new and the feeling of true "Aloha" was all around. I remember this time with fond memories of an era gone by. There was no fear of walking in the streets, no drugs, and no need to lock your door at night. My first visit was on vacation.
