Day 1, (Po’akahi) Monday TO HONOLULU, HAWAII | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Arrive Honolulu and receive your traditional lei greeting welcoming you to the islands. Your luxury motorcoach will be waiting to take you on a narrated scenic drive past downtown Honolulu into the heart of Waikiki for your (3) night stay at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Day 2, (Po’alua) Tuesday TASTE OF HONOLULU 7:00am Enjoy a welcome to the islands breakfast buffet, presented by your Hawaiian Holidays host at Duke’s Canoe Club on world famous Waikiki Beach. | 9:00am Enjoy a great sightseeing tour of Honolulu which includes Pearl Harbor and the Arizona Memorial-Museum & Movie at the Arizona. 11:30am visit Hawaii Plantation Village to learn about how the cultures of this island became to be. Continue on with our city tour to Kawaihao Church & Mission House, King Kamehameha Statue-State Landmark, State Capitol & Washington Place, Iolani Palace-Hawaiian Nobility and the State Royal Heritage, Punchbowl National Cemetery of the Pacific- and more! We don’t want you to pass by any of our ethnic culture, so stops will be made for you to experience the sights, smells, foods and sounds that make Honolulu, Hawaii a very unique place to live. Return to your hotel by 2:00pm. (B)
Day 3, (Po’akolu) Wednesday | POLYNESIAN CULTURAL CENTER - HALEIWA TOWN - PLATE LUNCH - SHAVE ICE Breakfast on your own | 10am this morning will head for the country, to the North Shore of Oahu. In route will travel through pineapple fields and stop for a taste. Then into the historical surf town of Haleiwa. Surfing was once the sport of King’s in old Hawaii and today all the Keiki’s (children) of Hawaii surf. In Haleiwa we include for you what the locals call “kau kau” local food. First you have to try a “plate lunch” then a special treat “shave ice” at Matsumoto General Store. Our next stop is the Polynesian Cultural Center. Here you will see all of Polynesia in one location - Students from Fiji, the Marquesas, New Zealand, Samoa, Tahiti and Tonga attend Brigham Young Hawaii Campus. The center is quite large and you can stroll through authentic native villages at your leisure. You will see an excellent I-IMAX theater presentation. There are many live shows but the highlight will be the excellent evening performance in the outdoor theater after your all-you-can-eat dinner. Late return to your hotel at 10:30pm (L) (D)
Day 4, (Po’aha) Thursday | BIG ISLAND “HAWAII” - VOLCANO NATIONAL PARK - OPTIONAL NIGHT LAVA WALK Breakfast included | 8:00am depart Honolulu Airport on our inter island flight to the Big Island of Hawaii arriving mid morning into Hilo, county seat of the island of Hawaii. Today we explore the slopes of Mauna Loa (meaning long mountain) into Hawaii Volcano National Park, home of the only “drive-in” volcano in the world. Lunch included at the crater’s edge. Upon our return too Hilo we stop at Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Farm and Big Island Candies. Over night in Hilo, at the Naniloa Resort. Tonight step out on an adventure with two very unique options. Journey to the summit of Mauna Kea to enjoy dinner and a breathtaking sunset or take a night LAVA walk were we get you right up close to feel the heat. (B) (L)
Day 5, (Po’alima) Friday | HAMAKUA COAST - HAWAIIAN VANILLA VINEYARDS - PARKER RANCH - KONA TOWN Breakfast included | Before leaving Hilo we visit the Tsunami Museum. Then relax and enjoy the lush tropical countryside of the Hamakua Coast. Once the largest sugar plantation in Hawaii it’s now the birthplace of diversified agriculture. Enjoy a rare visit at Hawaiian Vanilla Vineyards; the only one of it’s kind in the U.S. located in the old plantation town of Paauilo. Other visits include Waipio Valley Lookout, Waimea Town and Parker Ranch in beautiful Kamuela. Arrive in Kona Town for our over night stay at the Royal Kona Resort. Tonight enjoy dinner at the hotel. Day 6, (Po’aono) Saturday | KONA COFFEE FARM - CITY OF REFUGE - THE VALLEY ISLE - MAUI Breakfast included | 11:00am this morning we visit a Kona Coffee Farm to learn how this world famous cup of coffee gets from the field to your cup. Then down into Kealakekua Bay at Honaunau “Then City of Refuge” to visit a real Heiau and learn about the Kapu System. This afternoon transfer to Kona Airport for your inter island air flight to Maui. Upon arrival transfer to the Royal Lahaina Resort located on beautiful Kaanapali Beach for our (3) night stay. (B)
Day 7, (La’Pule) Sunday | IAO VALLEY - HAILE MAILE GENERAL STORE - MAUI COUNTY FARM BUREAU Our tour of Maui begins with a visit through Wailuku & Kahului into Iao Valley, home of Iao Needle, lush tropical gardens, and a stone likeness of John F. Kennedy. | Then we travel up through Pukalani to a Protea Flower Farm, this rare flower is grown exclusively upon the slopes of Haleakala. Also included is a presentation from the Maui County Farm Bureau. Meet and experience a working farm to learn more about the many diversified groups grown on the island. Enjoy lunch at Haile Maile General Store. Thought out the day you will travel through pineapple & sugarcane fields upon our return we take you into Haiku, Paia, and Ho’okipa Beach Park where the windsurfers take flight into the air. Mid afternoon return to your hotel. (L)
Day 8, (Po’akahi) Monday | SHOPPING IN LAHAINA - OLD LAHAINA LUAU “ALOHA” DINNER Breakfast included | Transportation to and from Lahaina Town will be included on the “Green Trolley” pick up location at your hotel. Enjoy the day exploring Hawaii’s first seat of Royalty. Lahaina is rich with history, once being the central location of the Hawaiian Government. Lahaina is home of the oldest school west of the Rockies, Lahainaluna. Founded in 1841 it was established by Missionaries to teach the Hawaiian people to read. You will notice high above the town the big “L” which represents the school and honors it’s greatest contributor Mr. David Malo. There is so much to learn from this port in paradise so take a relaxing pace as you stroll this ocean front experience. Many original buildings still remain, there is plenty of eatery and shopping so take you time. You will have the entire day at you leisure. Or just relax and get some sun your really get some sun and your getting the feeling why they call Maui “No Ka Oi”- The Best!. Tonight enjoy a special farewell evening at the Old Lahaina Luau! Day 9, (Po’alua) Tuesday | HAWAIIAN POI POUNDING - COCONUT BASKET WEAVING - TIME TO SAY ALOHA This morning will be yours to relax. Perhaps you will have a chance to share in a rare Hawaiian experience. | 9:00am join the staff at the Royal Lahaina Resort for a Hawaiian Poi pounding demonstration & tasting. Hawaiian Poi pounding, basket weaving and other morning activities are performed by the Royal Lahaina Resort and are subject to change. Depart this afternoon from your hotel to Kahului Airport for your return flight.
